Aged 1:87 H0 scale containers

Containers are cargo containers. During their lifetime, they travel countless miles, passing through a wide variety of landscapes and weather conditions.

Containers are increasingly popular in model railways. To make them realistic, they need to be brought to life through the indelible signs of time and wear.

Weathering a container requires a great deal of knowledge and photographic documentation. The basic technique is a basic weathering with an airbrush, followed by detailed treatments using oil paints, powders, and specific washes to simulate rust. In the photograph, we see nine 20-foot containers.

What size is a 20' foot container in real life?

20′ (6.058m) in H0 scale corresponds to 69.6 mm
