Vm 90 armored carabinieri vehicle, "Scarrafone" version, H0 scale 1:87.
In truth, this variant, also nicknamed "scarrafone," was created to meet the need for greater personnel protection. The Protetto version features full ballistic steel armor approved by the Italian Army, with a rear cockpit that replaces the canvas-covered cargo box of the Torpedo version . This armored cockpit features a rear door, slits and holes for the use of small arms without exposing the driver, as well as one or more hatches for machine guns or other weapons. The armor is light but offers standard NATO 7.62 ballistic protection, and was adopted as a temporary solution.
